If I didn’t define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people’s fantasies for me and eaten alive.
Praise the Lorde! 🙌🏿
It’s Pride month. This is a perfect reminder. Everything I’ve sacrificed and given up, family strain and struggles because of many of them not able to accept me as me…was all worth it for the human that I am today and the person I’m becoming.
This is why Authenticity is so important to me. I’ve had to fight too hard to define myself, for myself, amidst any antagonizing force or hate thrown my way; from family to past friends.
I wear my heart on my sleeve
With me you get what you see& so I admire, appreciate and respect the ones who come at me as themselves & move in the world, authentically.
